Jesse Louttit is a Director/DP based in Toronto.
Jesse is a commercial filmmaker and visual storyteller that takes pride in recognizing and respecting his heritage, allowing its influences to naturally flow into his work, ultimately shaping a more diverse and authentic artistic voice. Searching to define his place while honouring his indigenous heritage as a member of the Marten Falls First Nation.
Jesse began his career as a stills photographer in advertising, shooting campaigns with clients such as BMW, Cadillac, McDonald's, New Balance, Nintendo, and Tim Hortons. His stills work has been featured in PDN, Applied Arts and Canadian Art, and has been shown in galleries across the country. Louttit was the recipient of the CONTACT Photography Festival Portfolio Reviews Exhibition Award.
Jesse's attention more recently has gone behind the lens of motion cameras as a Director/DP and he has worked on campaigns for Budweiser, Ford, MasterCard, Crown Royal. In the commercial world, Jesse’s work has been featured in campaigns that have won international recognition, including a Cannes Lion, Clio Gold, D&AD Pencil, ADCC Gold and Craft awards.
