When I first moved across the country to Toronto, I would jump on the ferry as often as I could in order to feel disconnected form my new home. The short journey to Toronto Island became a barrier of time and nature between myself, and the busy city that it borders.
I began photographing the Island to experience something that reminded me of my former home. I wasn't there to document the landscape, but to enjoy moment that felt familiar to my plast.
